Areas of Practice

Mr. Harriger practices primarily in the areas of Insurance Defense Law, Construction Law, Civil Litigation and Non-Medical Professional Liability. He represents both institutional and non-institutional clients. With 33 years of litigation experience in Lubbock and West Texas, Mr. Harriger offers clients the highest level of legal service and consultation. His extensive history of handling insurance defense litigation includes issues of coverage, bad faith, and first and third party casualty losses. Mr. Harriger regularly defends clients involved in motor vehicle claims, bodily injury and wrongful death claims, product liability claims, employment practices claims, construction defect and accident claims, agricultural equipment accident claims, as well as liquor law and general liability claims.

Mr. Harriger has been Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 1988. He has long maintained an AV rating with Martindale Hubbell and is thoroughly familiar with the unique features of litigation practice throughout the Panhandle and South Plains of West Texas. Mr. Harriger represents insureds of and handles defense obligations for Federated Mutual Insurance Company, The Germania Insurance Group of Companies, XL Specialty Insurance Company and State Auto Insurance Company (formerly Beacon National Insurance Company). In addition, Mr. Harriger represents West Texas Agriplex, Inc. (and related entities), Helena Chemical Company, Levelland Delinting, Inc. (including All-Tex Seed Company) and other agriculture-connected businesses. Mr. Harriger is personally involved with each lawsuit, from inception through disposition, guaranteeing the firms' clients an ongoing evaluation and trial if necessary by an experienced, seasoned litigator.
