J. Paul Manning has represented numerous individuals and entities in complex commercial litigation, inclusive of employment, construction and fiduciary litigation, as well as banking, personal injury and probate matters. J. Paul has tried in excess of 65 cases to judgment, the majority of which were tried to a jury. He has successfully represented both plaintiffs and defendants in high stakes litigation and has litigated in State and Federal Courts in Nevada, New Mexico, Arkansas and Texas. His creative work and competitive spirit have led to many favorable judgments and/or dismissals. He has also framed, briefed and/or argued several successful appeals in Texas Appellate Courts.
He and has served as President, Vice President, and Secretary of the Lubbock County Young Lawyers Association, is a recipient of the 2003-2004 Lubbock County Outstanding Young Lawyer Award and the 2009 Lubbock Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals 20 Under 40 Award.
J. Paul is currently the Secretary of the Litigation Section of the State Bar of Texas and is a Life Member in the Texas Bar Foundation. He faithfully attends First Baptist Church in Shallowater, Texas, and serves the South Plains Chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes as a director.

He is the current Vice Chair for the Litigation Section of the State Bar of Texas and, also serves as President of South Plains Trial Lawyers Association.
He has served as Treasurer (2019), Secretary (2018), Council Member (2012-2017) of the State Bar of Texas Litigation Council as well as President (2004), Vice President(2003), and Secretary(2002) of the Lubbock County Young Lawyers Association. He was named Lubbock County Outstanding Young Lawyer and the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals 20 Under 40 Award.
J. Paul is a Life Member in the Texas Bar Foundation, faithfully attends First Baptist Church in Shallowater, Texas, led its’ Royal Ambassadors Youth Program and serves the South Plains Area Fellowship of Christian Athletes as a director.
